Joshua Petrack graduated with his PhD in Applied Mathematics in September 2025 and has been selected as the recipient of the UC Davis Allen G. Marr Prize, an honor recognizing the most outstanding doctoral dissertations each year. In a particularly competitive cycle, Joshua’s exceptional research and academic rigor stood out to the selection committee.
Advised by Professor Dave Doty in the Department of Computer Science, Joshua produced work that reflects both depth and originality. He is now continuing his research as a Postdoctoral Scholar at the Hamilton Institute and the Department of Computer Science at Maynooth University in Ireland.
