Dr. Esha Datta completed her PhD in Applied Mathematics in 2023 under the supervision of Professors Thomas Strohmer, Leighton Izu and Chad Topaz (Williams College). After graduating, she joined Sandia National Laboratories as the S. Scott Collis Data Science Fellow. Following two years in that role, she became a permanent Data Scientist at Sandia.
Sandia recently nominated Dr. Datta for the Society of Asian Scientists and Engineers (SASE) Most Promising Professional Award, and she was selected as the recipient. The award recognizes early‑career professionals who demonstrate strong technical contributions and professional growth.
