GGAM Member Mariel Vázquez has been elected as a fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) for her contributions to research and outreach at the interface of mathematics, topology, and molecular biology, as well as for her service to the mathematical community, in particular to underrepresented groups.
