In the Fall 2015 GGAM Colloquium, Raissa D'Souza (GGAM member and Professor of Computer Science and of Mechanical Engineering) will speak about "Percolation, cascades and control of interdependent networks". The colloquium is followed by a reception and by GGAM business meetings.

The 2013 paper "Phase Retrieval via Matrix Completion" written jointly by GGAM member Prof. Thomas Strohmer and his colleagues Candes, Eldar and Voroninski, has been selected for republication as a highlighted "SIGEST" paper in the current issue of SIAM Review. Professor Strohmer and his coauthors will be recognized at an awards event that will take place as part of the 2016 SIAM annual meeting.

Prof. Crutchfield is the Lead Principal Investigator of the 5-year Multidisciplinary University Research Initiative on “Information Engines: Communication, control, and computing on the nanoscale”. Four universities, 8 PIs, 6 postdocs, and 15 graduate students are participating. Prof. D'Souza is Lead PI on the "Predicting and Controlling Systems of Interdependent Networks: Exploiting Interdependence for Control".
